Jyotish - Shastra:
 Jyotish is the Indian Hindu form of astrology, recognised to be one of the six wings of the Vedanga, and is considered to be one of the ancient schools of traditional astrology to have an independent start, influencing all other schools in and around India. Jyotish has traditionally been a part of a holistic strategy of living and of spiritual practice in the life of Hindus of India. Jyotish is sometimes narrated to be the instructional material of the Rigveda, and as accordingly a Vedanga, or part of the Vedas, recognized to be the ‘Eye of the Veda’, for its capability to consider the phenomenal reality as also the wisdom. A portion of a larger Vedic curriculum incorporates architecture, mathematics, and medical as well as military applications. Vastu Shastra:
